As a third generation mason, John Strickik followed in his uncle's and his grandfather's footsteps - founding S&J Masonry in 1990 with his wife, Sandra. The company was a success, growing in both the number of customers and the scope of its projects.
In 1995, while doing his undergraduate work at Seton Hall, Larry Parillo began working summers for his uncle. Learning the business from the ground up and honing his skills as an apprentice mason.
Upon Larry's graduation in 1998 with a Bachelors in Business Management, John invited him to join the company full time. Together they relaunched the company as L&J Custom Concrete and Construction, focusing on commercial clients. John Strickik & Larry Parillo serve as L&J Custom Concrete and Construction’s Presidents while Sandra Strickik serves as the company's CEO.
